A Colorful Spring Wedding at Event 1013 in Plano, Texas
Laurie Arnoldy (28 and a lawyer) and Mark Patton (34 and a consultant) wanted a venue that fit their personalities. They happened upon Event 1013, a modern-style loft space in Plano, Texas. "Event 1013 felt traditional but unique, and it allowed us to make the event our own," Laurie says. Instead of going for the muted color palettes usually seen at modern weddings, Laurie and Mark colored their wedding in warm, bold shades of red, pink, orange and yellow that were perfect for the springtime celebration. The floral design carried the palette. "The flowers turned out amazing and made every wedding shot beautiful and stand out," Laurie says. Textured arrangements of garden roses, anemones, ranunculus and dusty miller decorated the round reception tables, and Laurie and her bridesmaids carried similar bouquets. These colorful bouquets popped against the long, mint green bridesmaid dresses. As a nod to their love of Mexican food, Laurie and Mark catered their wedding from Pappasito's. "Mark's love for fajitas and frozen margaritas cannot be topped, except maybe by my love of Taylor Swift," Laurie says. "As such, we danced to tons of Taylor Swift after dinner." Fairy Tale Photography beautifully captured the day.
