A Colorful, Religious Wedding at The American Visionary Museum in Baltimore, Maryland
Jaclyn Chernak (34 and a fourth grade teacher) and Marc Sandler (32 and a systems administrator) met through the website Coffee Meets Bagel. Navy hues, copper accents and bold florals set the stage for Jaclyn and Marc’s traditional Jewish ceremony and chic dinner reception. Surrounded by artwork depicting the Bible’s Old Testament, the couple said “I do” under a chuppah adorned in blooms. Air plants and succulents added texture to white and green bouquets. Traditional Jewish rituals were included in the ceremony, such as the breaking of the glass, which the couple quickly followed up with celebratory high fives. The art museum venue made for numerous unconventional photo opportunities. The reception’s head table was clad in sequin linens and copper accents, and the couple suspended lush greenery and purple blooms. Displayed on a navy pegboard made by the groom, copper mugs served a dual purpose as a favor and escort card. For a sweet treat, the white fondant cake featured Picasso calla lilies and LEGO figurines that were personalized with the newlyweds’ faces.
