Creatives Rory Gale (32 and owner of Hartford Prints!) and Pedro Bermudez (33 and owner of Revisionist Films) used a vibrant Sol LeWitt mural as the basis for their modern museum nuptials. “We both love art and the city of Hartford,” Rory explains of filling the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art with Pantone place cards and custom letterpress art prints that were gifted to guests as favors.
A textured aisle was created using layered vintage rugs sourced from the couple’s home. After saying “I do” on the steps of city hall, the newlyweds and 120 guests kicked off the celebration with cocktails in the museum’s Avery Court. Dinner was served in Morgan Great Hall among the museum’s European art collection, followed by dancing in the Gengras Courtyard under the stars.
