Jill Love (28 and a bridal consultant at Blush Bridal Lounge) and Dobi Jurkovi (34 and an engineering manager) met and started their lives together in Austin, Texas, so it made sense to get married in their home city. They knew they wanted a venue that’s as cool and modern as Austin itself, and found everything they were searching for in Malverde. They fell in love with the open patio overlooking downtown, oversized windows, chevron tile details, eclectic lounge furniture and greenery. Plus, the space is exclusively catered by modern Mexican restaurant La Condesa, so fresh, local flavors were guaranteed. Laurel from the Whitt Experience coordinated the planning process and put Jill and Dobi at ease—they were glad to have her on hand! She helped them pull off a palette of blue and hot pink with touches of mint and metallic gold that popped against the modern rustic space with touches of geometric accents in the invitations, faceted terrariums and geometric pillows. To match Jill and Dobi’s colorful style, Pollen Floral Art created lots of bright, whimsical floral arrangements, from Jill’s textured bouquet to the eclectic bud vases and centerpieces. And to top it off, Baked by Amy’s made a colorful geometric wedding cake that was as delicious as it was pretty. See the details below, captured by the talented Eclectic Images.

The invitations inspired the wedding's geometric theme. The palette of bright pink, coral, mint and metallic gold reflected the modern and energetic atmosphere of Jill and Dobi’s Austin, Texas, wedding.
Fresh blooms in bright colors created the modern aesthetic Jill wanted for her bouquet. It had pincushion proteas, peonies, garden roses, ranunculus, parrot tulips, poppies and fern wrapped with gold glitter ribbon.
Dobi wore a custom blue suit made by Gus Karim at Gassane Tailors. He chose the fabric, custom liner and detailing himself! A brightly patterned pocket square, hot pink tie and succulent boutonniere completed his whimsical style.
Trumpet-Style Matthew Christopher Wedding Dress
Jill searched high and low for the perfect pair of hot pink pumps, but when she couldn’t find them, she turned to Shoes of Prey and designed her dream heels herself. The silk peep-toe shoes had a bow on each toe and a gold glitter heel. (They were Jill’s favorite part of her outfit.)
For the daytime wedding, each bridesmaid chose a Joanna August dress in the color I Want Candy for a flowing and relaxed look. The groomsmen wore light gray slim-fit suits with mint paisley ties and tie bars.
Dobi set Jill’s grandmother’s diamond in a classic white gold solitaire setting for her engagement ring, so Jill went modern for her wedding rings. She selected two rose gold stacking rings with mixed metal tones and prong-set diamonds, and Dobi chose a smooth palladium ring.
The morning ceremony took place on the balcony at Malverde, overlooking downtown Austin, Texas. Jill and Dobi added few decorations to the space, since it already offered eclectic, modern furniture and lots of greenery.

The wedding cake by Baked by Amy’s embodied the wedding's colorful, geometric theme. It had vanilla buttercream with hand-painted fondant triangles in pink, mint and metallic gold, with a fresh pink peony on the second tier. The Mexican vanilla cake with two fruit fillings was delicious.
Eclectic, Colorful Bud Vases
During the ceremony Jill wore a Matthew Christopher lace cathedral-length veil that matched her dress. At the reception, she swapped it out for a flirty floral fascinator for a modern touch.
