A Colorful Indian Wedding With A Modern Twist at Pueblo Convention Center in Pueblo, Colorado

Kena Amin (a hotel developer and operator) and Will Baker (a sales professional in the steel industry) celebrated their nuptials with a modern take on the traditional Indian wedding. A vibrant color palette and luxe details tied it all together. Although the couple had a clear vision for how they wanted their day to look, they weren’t sure where to start. Wedding planner Amen Pawar from Pawar Inc led the way to bring both of their cultures together for their stunning soiree. With 400 guests, Kena and Will needed a local venue that could host their party as well as be customized to their specific desires. Pueblo Convention Center in Pueblo, Colorado, was the perfect location. Jigar Jasani from Suhaag Garden in Orlando, Florida, doubled as designer and florist and created the oversized gold mandap for the ceremony. It was adorned with orange and pink drapery, white garlands and textured florals, which set the tone for the entire ultra-luxe event. Jigar also created the towering gold tusk and branch centerpieces that were decorated with hanging terrariums, crystals and orchids. Kena and Will loved how the tusks added a traditional Indian vibe to the glamorous sequined gold linens and candlelit ballroom. Another standout detail? The turquoise and gold henna-inspired wedding cake from Sue Sanicky at The Pinery. Sue even went above and beyond to customize cake flavors for the wedding, which included cardamom ginger, orange lavender and chocolate mint—yes, it was as delicious as it looked. There are so many details we love! See them all, beautifully captured by Jared Wilson Photography, below.
