A Colorful Fall Wedding at Thompson Garden House in Bogart, Georgia

After first meeting and later celebrating their engagement at Watkinsville First Baptist Church in Athens, Georgia, it only felt natural for Meganne Butler (25 and a middle school teacher) and Chad Skinner (23 and a carpenter) to get married in such a meaningful spot. After swapping vows during a traditional ceremony, the newlyweds hosted a relaxed celebration at Thompson Garden House. Guests were welcomed to enjoy both the venue’s indoor and outdoor spaces and mismatched teacups with kraft paper escort cards guided them to their seats. The bridesmaids mixed emerald green dresses, sunflower bouquets set the tone for their rustic-yet-colorful celebration, and centerpieces of sunflowers, circus roses and hydrangeas created cheery tablescapes. The reception was filled with dancing and an outside back patio with refreshments (including hot chocolate and apple cider!) as well as five different Italian cream cakes.
