A Colorful Downtown Wedding at Red Brick Occasions in Columbus, Ohio

Vibrant pink and blue details set a celebratory tone for Lauren Laskey (28 and an associate director of college counseling) and Whitney Hawkins's (29 and an institutional research analyst) intimate wedding in downtown Columbus’s Red Brick District. Despite listing “festive” as their dress code, Lauren and Whitney were surprised by just how much their guests embraced the colorful concept. “My cousin wore a bright purple suit!” Whitney says. “Ultimately, we wanted everyone to come ready to laugh, dance and help us get our marriage off to a great start.” Lauren and Whitney honored the Jewish tradition of breaking the glass under a custom chuppah affixed with light bulbs. At the reception, DIY wine bottle centerpieces depicted the couple’s initials in white script.
