A Colorful DIY Wedding at Wychmere Beach Club in Harwich Port, Massachusetts

Emily Rorty and Evan Nash focused on their playful sides for their coastal spring wedding in Cape Cod with bright colors and fun-filled details.

Although the pair had planned for an outdoor ceremony, rainy weather meant tying the knot indoors. Luckily, the Wychmere Beach Club has an incredible indoor ceremony space. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in lots of natural light, and guests could still take in the ocean views during the vows.

Emily and Evan tapped their talented inner circle to help infuse their festive affair with plenty of personality. Emily’s mom made the fabric table runners, colorful cloth napkins and wood table numbers that enlivened the classic wood dining tables. And her aunt created all of the signage (the “Treat Yo Self” sign was a particular fave) and designed the custom bride and groom coloring pages set out to entertain the younger crowd. Every place setting even had a hand-drawn “How to eat a lobster” card for guests who were unsure how a traditional clambake goes down.

Vibrant wildflower, rose and anemone bouquets in galvanized buckets and blue vintage vases added a pop of fresh color to the elegant seaside space.

After dinner, DJ Scott turned up the music and got guests young and old to bust a move out on the dance floor.
