A Colorful DIY Wedding at Noah's Event Center in Westminster, Colorado

Megan Smith and Miguel Arce met at a Mexico versus New Zealand soccer game in Denver, Colorado. Miguel proposed on an overlook in Boulder with a single red carnation and a round-cut diamond ring. For their wedding, they had their ceremony at the Westminster Promenade because they loved the waterfront location and romantic, natural green backdrop. Not wanting to overpower the venue, they kept their decor to a minimum. Megan added a bold pop of color in her lush orange, yellow and green bouquet including pincushion proteas, succulents, ranunculus and dahlias. They bridesmaids wore blue cocktail dresses and carried white bouquets of orchids, ranunculus and hypericum to balance the colorful wedding party look. Afterwards, the couple skipped cocktail hour and went straight to the reception at Noah’s Event Center. Wanting to incorporate Miguel’s Mexican heritage into the wedding, they had a mariachi band play at the reception and made sure to translate the entire wedding in both English and Spanish. At the end of the night, the couple enjoyed a one-tier wedding cake made by Megan’s sister. It was decorated with white buttercream and blue fondant rounds (to match the bold color palette) and topped with silver monogramed cake topper with the couple’s initials.
