A Colorful, DIY-Filled Wedding at Camp Mary Orton in Columbus, Ohio

Software engineers Jenna El-Amin (26) and Peter Mueller (27) didn’t skimp on color for their DIY wedding at a Columbus campground. With a little creative assistance from the groom’s mother and a slew of flowers, the couple planned an ultra-personalized party marked by paper tassel banners, iridescent dinnerware and colorful flowers. For the ceremony, Jenna paired her tea-length gown with metallic wedges and a vintage-inspired fascinator. After quite literally tying the knot in a hand-fasting ceremony, Jenna and Peter treated dinner guests to celebratory fan-faves in the form of grilled cheese sandwiches, miniature bundt cakes and dozens of bite-size macarons. “We created everything ourselves,” Jenna says. “It was exhausting, but we saved a lot of money and had full control over every detail, which was important to us.”
