The colorful culture of Guatemala inspired Luisana Suegart and Jeremy Cruz's destination wedding. A fun, personalized reception at the boutique Casa Palopó followed their traditional Catholic church ceremony.  "Neither of us are from Guatemala, but through work trips and personal vacations, it became our spot. We wanted to share this special corner of the world with our friends and family," Luisana says, adding that the pair also got engaged in the Central American country. The rustic-chic décor incorporated colorful flower arrangements and metallic accents, but the couple kept everything simple to highlight gorgeous views of Lake Atitlán and its surrounding volcanoes. Dinner took place in a clear tent, where long wood tables were adorned with bright centerpieces and modern candles. An outdoor dance floor, foggy first dance and rustic naked wedding cake made the wedding a night to remember.
Our favorite #MakeTradition Moment: "We arranged for fireworks halfway through the reception. It was a total surprise for our guests," Luisana says.
