A Colorful Country Wedding at Pinecrest Country Place in Rose Hill, Kansas

Rebecca De La Rosa (26 and a photographer) and Klayton Moore (27 and a planning engineer) chose bright colors to create a whimsical, laid-back feel as they said “I do” in front of a ribbon-adorned tree at Pinecrest Country Place in Rose Hill, Kansas. “I used all of the colors,” Rebecca says. “I wanted our wedding to look cheerful and happy, yet elegant.” She balanced out her prismatic palette with metallic bridesmaid dresses and light gray for the groomsmen. Rebecca honored her Mexican heritage throughout the alfresco affair, from her custom mantilla lace veil to the homemade horchata served during dinner. Bright paper blooms were essential to the design, along with laser-cut table numbers inspired by traditional papel picado banners. During the ceremony, Klayton’s grandparents, who’ve been married 59 years, draped a lasso over the couple in place of a unity ceremony.
