A Colorful Chapel Garden Wedding at the Dekoven Center in Racine, Wisconsin

Maranda (28 and a teacher) and Jeremy (36 and a software engineer) were, from the start, a match made in heaven—or rather, a match made with a little help from some mutual friends and family. Jeremy’s stepsister and Maranda’s friend’s mom just happened to be coworkers and exchanged took it upon themselves to exchange the pair’s contact information. They slowly got to know each other through email until they realized they had more than enough in common to go out on a date. Both fans of microbrewed beers, Maranda and Jeremy went on a brewery tour at the Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee. This led to a series of summer dates to local festivals, bonfires, outdoor dinners, and a weekend with friends on a lake in Northern Wisconsin—the same lake that would later be their proposal spot. Reminiscent of their intimate summer of love, Maranda and Jeremy got married outside the chapel at the historic Dekoven Center on Lake Michigan in Racine, Wisconsin.
