Elizabeth Muñoz, a nursing student, 29, and Felipe Muñoz, a graphic designer, 27, met while Elizabeth was visiting a friend in São Paulo, Brazil. He caught her interest by singing the lyrics to Carly Rae Jepson's "Call Me Maybe." "My three week vacation turned into one year abroad and the blossoming of the most incredible relationship I could have ever dreamed up," says Elizabeth. The couple had a natural themed wedding that embraced both of their cultural backgrounds at a private residence in Pensacola Beach, Florida. Elizabeth and Felipe chose coral, champagne, aqua, peach, green and periwinkle as their wedding colors. The couple’s simple white ceremony decor was accented with tan and blue lanterns as well as vibrant colored flowers in blue glass jars that hung along the aisle. The couple’s cocktail hour included an open bar and two signature cocktails in personalized mugs: a Blueberry Lavender Spritzer and non-traditional Brazilian Caipirinha. The mugs and small bags of Priester’s Pecans served as the guests’ wedding favors. As Elizabeth and Felipe are vegan, they also took care in creating a menu that would meet their needs and be liked by all. They chose a three-tiered buttercream vegan cake with a different flavoring in each layer as one of their desserts. Felipe had a groom’s cake in the shape of the Brazilian flag. The couple and their guests started dancing after the cake was cut, says Elizabeth.

Instead of tossing her bouquet during the reception, Elizabeth incorporated the Brazilian tradition of throwing a plush frog.
Two of Elizabeth's sisters served as her bridesmaids. They wore the same off-the-shoulder dress in dusty rose and mauve.
Vibrant flowers were used to add color to the couple's natural themed wedding. Coral charm peonies, lavender, cream astilbes, protea, burgundy dahlias, blush Juliet garden roses and strawflowers were used in their bouquets.
The couple gave out their signature cocktails in personalized squirrel decorated mugs. The mugs also served as wedding favors.
The couple had dark wooden signs with abbreviations for señor and señorita on the back of their chairs.
The couple decorated their family style reception with rustic wood tables, white chairs, white linens and low floral centerpieces.
