A Colorful and Casual Beach Wedding at The Naples Hotel in Naples, Florida
Emily Boch (28, a middle school teacher) and Jeff Huntzinger (30, a financial advisor) first met when Emily was a freshman and Jeff was a sophomore at Illinois State University. At the time, they were living just a few doors down from each other in the dorms. Emily and Jeff remained friends throughout the years and started dating toward the end of college. Jeff proposed the day after Christmas in 2012 while they were in his hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. “It was completely unexpected,” says Emily. After vacationing in Jeff’s family’s condo in Naples, Florida, while they were dating, the couple thought Naples would be the right place to hold their wedding. It also fit Emily’s childhood dream. “Ever since Emily was young, she wanted to be married on the beach at sunset. It played out well for her and Jeff,” says Emily. They were wed in front of their friends and family at The Naples Hotel. Emily and Jeff chose the day's coral and gray color scheme together. “Emily loves all pinks, but coral seemed like a perfect color for a Florida wedding. Jeff knew he wanted to wear gray, which made it easy since coral and gray look great together,” says Emily. After beach ceremony, the couple and their 80 guests moved to the venue’s oceanfront lawn for a cocktail hour complete with steel drum music, smoked salmon coronet, spanakopita and an open bar. They then enjoyed a plated dinner, dancing to a DJ and a tiered orange ombre wedding cake.
