A Colorado Wildflower-Filled Wedding at Cherokee Ranch and Castle in Sedalia, Colorado
Inspired by the natural beauty of Colorado, Anna Dreiling (23 and a title analyst) and Mike Gorka (24 and works in information technology) filled their wedding with colorful local wildflowers. Florist Abloom worked with Anna and Mike to bring their vision to life in everything from flower crowns and bouquets to the centerpieces and cake toppers. Anna and Mike even made local wildflower favors for guests to take home. Wanting a venue that reflected all that the Centennial State has to offer while still being accessible to their guests, the couple found Cherokee Ranch and Castle in Sedalia, Colorado. “Along with the spectacular 16th-century style castle itself, with its locally quarried stone and spectacular art collection, we were also taken with the castle's history,” Anna says. “Then there was the view! The moment Mike and I stepped out onto the patio and saw the breathtaking, sweeping, expansive views of the rolling prairie all the way back to the mountains, we were sold. The Castle's beautiful architecture, rich history and sense of character certainly sold us even more.” For couples planning their weddings, Anna suggests making sure the event reflects who you are. “Do what makes you happy in your wedding, and chances are that everything else will fall into place.” See all our favorite details of this stunning wedding, beautifully captured by Aldabella Photography, below.
