A Classy, Intimate Wedding at Hermitage Museum and Gardens in Norfolk, Virginia
Regina Narcisi (33 and a reading specialist) and Ryan Foster (32 and a math specialist) met at a meeting for their local school district. They went out to Starbucks and a walk down the Chesapeake Bay afterwards. A year later, Ryan proposed to Regina in the same spot on the Chesapeake Bay that they walked to on their first date. Since their first date and proposal took place by the water, the couple decided they wanted to be married near water. They chose the beautiful Hermitage Museum in Norfolk Virginia, located off the Lafayette River, as their venue. With a ceremony in the museum's gardens and the following reception in a tent by the river, Regina and Ryan's wedding was a classy and intimate garden party in black and white. The celebration was illuminated with string lights, and long, U-shaped dining tables were arranged with gold vases of white flowers on striped, black and white table runners. "For dinner we ate our meal family style, just as we would at home," says Regina. "That was important to us because it really felt like we got to share our first meal as husband and wife with our family and friends." The couple ended their celebrations with a two tier, white wedding cake decorated with gold ribbon, sugar magnolia flowers and a "love" cake topper, and as they exited in a classic, MG convertible, they were surrounded by their beloved families and friends.
