Karen Sylvester (26, in sales) and Dan Acker (28, buyer) were married at the regal Cairnwood Estate in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania. The couple, who got engaged while on a snowboarding trip in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, wanted to keep their wedding timeless and elegant, so they chose a traditional black and white color scheme with silver accents. The bridesmaids looked striking in floor length, strapless dresses with black belts while Karen glowed in a stunning mermaid style dress with beading and a sweetheart neckline, which she accessorized with an elbow length veil, a rhinestone belt and silver peep toe heels. She carried a fragrant bouquet of white roses and tuberoses with portraits of her female family members attached to the white bouquet wrap. Dan dressed traditionally in a black tuxedo with a white bow tie and white flower boutonniere. Centerpieces at the ballroom reception consisted of tall, glass vases filled with branches and white flowers, and the dining tables were set with black linens and chiavari chairs. Menues were displayed in silver embellished frames, and instead of a traditional guest book, guests were invited to sign the leaves on a customized tree poster. At the end of a night of photos, food and dancing, Karen and Dan served their guests a beautiful, three tier black and white wedding cake that was flavored red velvet and lemon with vanilla buttercream filling. This elegant, black and white wedding displayed Karen and Dan's classy, timeless style.

Karen wore a strapless, mermaid style wedding dress with beading and a sweetheart neckline, which she paired with a rhinestone embellished belt and an elbow length veil. Dan wore a classic black tuxedo with a white bow tie and white boutonniere.
The bridesmaids wore strapless, floor length black dresses with black belts. The flower girl wore a traditional white dress with a full tulle skirt and a black sash.
Instead of a traditional guest book, Karen and Dan had their guests sign the leaves on a customized tree poster.
The reception was held in the ballroom at Cairnwood Estate in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania. The tables were set with black and white linens and brown chiavari chairs, and candles decorated the room.

The three tier, black and white wedding cake had two flavors: red velvet cake with vanilla buttercream filling and lemon pound cake with vanilla buttercream filling. The cake topper featured a bride in her groom's arms.
