A Classic Winter Wedding at Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, Massachusetts
Debbie Wexler (42 and an engineer) and James Bardzik (45 and an engineer) were married on a beautiful snowy day at Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, Massachusetts. "The snow was surreal," Debbie says. "A perfect touch to a perfect day." This classic event had a simple black and white color palette with blush and ivory accents. Debbie and James were married in the atrium at the estate, which featured gorgeous panoramic vistas and skylights. Their interfaith ceremony took place under a birchwood huppah decorated with eucalyptus leaves. The reception followed and took place in a cozy, wood-paneled hall with exposed wood beams and a cathedral ceiling. "For the decor, we focused on the beauty of Willowdale and used flowers to augment its look," Debbie says. Warm votive candles around the room perfectly complemented the glow from the ornate chandeliers, and dining tables were adorned with flower arrangements of roses, anemones, hydrangeas and eucalyptus leaves. Succulents popped up throughout the wedding decor, making appearances in Debbie's bouquet, in James's boutonniere, on the ivory wedding cake and as favors for guests. Debbie says that choosing good vendors made the wedding planning process more relaxing. "We made excellent vendor choices that made it easy to concentrate on the day and our friends and family, and to treasure all the special moments."
