A Classic Wedding With a Historic Twist at Union Trust in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Everything about Charlene Turi (30 and a teacher) and Jarett Devaney's (32 and an accountant) classic wedding was inspired by their love of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. "It's where we met and had many of our dates and where we call home," Charlene says. "We debated where to get married and it became quite clear that there was no other choice. A Philadelphia wedding was truly us and a way to celebrate what's important to us as a couple.” After a church ceremony held by their father's friend, everyone went to a reception at Union Trust, surrounded by a few Philly favorites. We're talking cheesesteak hors d'oeuvres at the cocktail hour, DIY mini replica Liberty Bells holding the escort cards and a four-tier wedding cake topped with a metal Liberty Bell. And the entire celebration was nestled in the city's historic district. But this night was still a party, and Charlene and Jarett wanted everyone on the dance floor. They started with a surprising choreography to "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars and brought in a magician to keep up the energy. At one point, Charlene even got up on stage playing the bongos with their band. See every moment of their day, caught by Rachel Pearlman Photography, below.
