A Classic Wedding at Waterfront Kitchen in Baltimore, Maryland

Katrina (28 and a medical student) and Russell's (30 and a researcher) classic wedding was all about enjoying the moment with their guests. "We wanted this day to be full of love, joy and celebration with our beloved family and friends,” Katrina says. “We wanted them to be as welcome and included as possible, so we didn't really do formal things—besides the dances and cake cutting.” After snapping a few photos along the dock, Katrina and Russell simply walked into their cocktail reception at Waterfront Kitchen in Baltimore, Maryland, and started saying hello to everyone—no formal entrance needed. Their friends and family also had a hand in putting the day together. Russell’s mother painted the paper garden-rose-inspired centerpiece on each round table. She also made the topper for the single-tier wedding cake. (It was based on a joke from their graduate school: "Ithaca is Gorges," giving the dessert an personal touch.) Joy Michelle Photography captured it all on camera. See every detail in Katrina and Russell's favorite colors (pink and blue), below.
