A Classic Wedding at the JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek in Denver, Colorado
Lauren De Jonghe (32 and a project coordinator) and Bryan Maxwell (37 and a managed print specialist) met in Florida, Bryan’s hometown, when Lauren moved after college. After a family ski trip in Vail, Colorado, to ring in the New year, Bryan proposed. The couple wanted their wedding to be romantic, elegant and timeless. With only 50 guests, they were sure to keep it intimate, too. They chose shades of purple as their main color and added gray and white accents. They exchanged vows in the Good Shepherd Catholic Church before moving to the JW Marriott for a romantic reception. Their favorite part of the day? The delicious menu! From the Bride: “We had strawberry basil mojitos for our signature drinks,” she says. “Hors d’oeuvres were eggplant crostini, tuna tartar, truffled mac and cheese fritter, crab cakes and fresh strawberry salad. The entrees were herb crusted filet mignon and seared organic salmon. For dessert, we had a three-tier carrot cake, butter pecan, red velvet all with cream cheese frosting. We also had a coffee and dessert station with fruit tarts, chocolate tartans, creme brûlée and chocolate-covered strawberries.”
