If you ask Mindy Laing (31 and in sales) and Reggie Kruse (35 and a mechanic) how they initially met, they'll tell you two completely different stories: "We met a mutual friends engagement party," the bride explains. "Reggie loves to tell people we met on the dance floor, but that's not the truth!" When their spring wedding finally rolled around, the two exchanged vows at St. John's Methodist Church in Davenport and later celebrated with over 300 friends and family at the Isle of Capri Hotel. "The Isle was perfect because the hotel was on site and it was a nice size facility for all of our guests," Mindy says. "We made welcome bags for all of the guests and it was so fun to see people enjoying the treats we put together for them. The whole day was very relaxed and fun, which is exactly what we wanted."

The bride's mom custom-made the wedding veil to match with Mindy's strapless wedding gown.
The bride wore her grandma's wedding ring during the ceremony. "It looked great with the jewelry I picked out for the wedding and it was such an honor to be able to wear a piece of her jewelry for the day," Mindy says.
The bride carried an ivory and pink bouquet made from hydrangeas and roses.
The bridesmaids' white hydrangea bouquets popped against their raspberry pink asymmetrical dresses.
The bride wore a white, strapless wedding gown with a sweetheart neckline and gathered skirt.
