A Classic Wedding at the Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia

Inspired by their stately venue in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, Whitney Cain (27 and a teacher) and John Heydon (27 and an account manager) planned an intimate affair at the Greenbrier with 95 guests. Bridesmaids wore coral dresses to reflect the hue of the venue's interior, and Whitney and her bridesmaids carried lush arrangements of all-white blooms. "As a nod to my late grandfather, my bouquet was made entirely of white peonies," Whitney says. "They were his favorite flower, and I fondly remember them growing outside his childhood home." Other sentimental details included the vintage engagement ring that Whitney donned throughout their alfresco ceremony in the Greenbrier's Spring House. "Before my grandmother passed away, she gave me her engagement ring and wedding band that she had worn for over 50 years," Whitney says. "When John proposed, he used her ring." After becoming Mr. and Mrs., the newlyweds invited guests to cocktail hour in the Spring Room, where everyone indulged in crab and a lemon chiffon cake. But the hit of the reception was 39 Mariner, a party band from Philadelphia. "They played hit after hit," Whitney says. "It was like being front row at your favorite concert. There was nothing but empty seats in the ballroom since everyone was up and dancing all night." —Rachel Sylvester
