Megan Nicholas (27 and a replenishment analyst) and Phillip Wiginton (26 and a vice president of commercial banking) went with classic colors and art-deco touches for their elegant reception. After a ceremony at the Methodist church in which Phillip’s great-grandmother was a founding member, everyone moved to the Astorian to celebrate. “We instantly fell in love with the venue's industrial-chic style and the floor-to-ceiling windows,” Megan says.  Megan’s sister designed all of the paper items with a rose gold ink, and the other, a jewelry designer, made the earrings she wore that day. While Megan's cake was a traditional white sponge with buttercream frosting and raspberry filling, Phillip opted out of a groom's cake,  offering libations at a specialty bar dubbed “Phillip’s Bourbon Bar" instead.
