A Classic Wedding at Signature Club of Lansdowne in Lexington, Kentucky

Katherine Young (23 and a chemical engineer) and Jake Hoppert (23 and a chemical engineer) had a classic Kentucky wedding full of sweet touches. They had a traditional ceremony in Katherine’s hometown at the church she grew up in, followed by a reception at the Signature Club of Lansdowne in Lexington, Kentucky. They kept their indoor celebration soft and romantic with a palette of pink, coral, gray and white. South Van Events served up Katherine and Jake’s favorite Cajun-style food, a nod to one of their favorite restaurants while they were dating. They even included a humorous family tradition into their reception entertainment: At the wedding of each Young family member, a treasured family heirloom is passed down, cousin to cousin. The heirloom was a handcrafted pig-roast-themed serving plate! Another standout detail? Katherine carried a gorgeous cascading bouquet of stargazer lilies, ranunculus, mini callas, tulips and greenery that looked like she swept it up from a flower field before walking down the aisle. It even held sentimental value: It contained two interlocking rings of herbs, which Katherine’s mother and grandmother carried in their bouquets to ensure a long and prosperous marriage.
