A Classic Wedding at Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapel in Triangle, Virginia
Sharon Titus (22 and a social worker) and Garrett Notman (22 and a corporal in the United States Marine Corps) kept things simple. To highlight Garrett's profession and military heritage, they decided to get married at the Semper Fidelis Memorial Chapel in Triangle, Virginia. "Semper Fidelis means 'always faithful' in Latin, and we thought that was perfect for a wedding," Sharon says. The stunning nondenominational chapel is a modern wood beam structure with windows on all sides, so guests could enjoy the pretty fall colors during the ceremony. Also as a nod to Garrett's profession, they chose navy blue as their main wedding color and accented it with pink and ivory. The color palette came through in the wedding party look. The bridesmaids wore knee-length navy dresses in different styles with nude pumps, and they carried pink rose bouquets. Garrett and his groomsmen wore their classic marine dress uniforms. Sharon also dressed classically. "I went about looking for my dress with the knowledge that my groom-to-be was wearing his timeless, fantastic dress uniform, and I wanted to look as elegant as I knew he would!" she says. She looked beautiful in a simple ivory dress with an asymmetrical layered skirt. Chamberlin Photography was there to capture all the pretty details!
