A Classic Wedding at Moss Denver in Colorado

Jessica Kern and Jason Hansell wed at Moss Denver, an industrial-chic warehouse turned event venue. Their colors were based on blue (the groom's favorite) and yellow (the bride's favorite), accented with pastels and greenery.  Jessica wore a formfitting lace wedding dress with a show-stopping open back, and she carried a bouquet of white, yellow and blue flowers. Jason donned a three-piece blue suit with a yellow tie. The ceremony happened in "the Edison room," which had a giant living moss wall and Edison light bulbs hanging from the ceiling. "We used tall candles and hurricane glasses with moss to accent some of the aisle," Jessica says. "We also had these two half arches of yellow and white flowers on either side of us so we really stood out during the ceremony." Bringing a midcentury modern vibe to the setup, guests sat on wooden folding chairs. The reception continued this classic aesthetic in a brick-walled space. Guests admired a unique seating chart with mock Pantone swatches as a nod to the groom's job, which involves colors in the pharmaceutical world. The rectangular dining tables were lined with mismatched flower pots, vases, and moss—and the couple also set out single succulents on each plate (the bride says she's obsessed with them). "Our cake was a custom request to incorporate our quirky dessert interests of funfetti, Fruity Pebbles, and cereal milk. The cake topper was a replica of the Love Park sign in Philadelphia where we both grew up," Jessica says.
