High school sweethearts Karissa (23 and a radiologic technologist) and Ross (24 and a manager at Heine Farms Feedlot) were together for ten years before tying the knot in the Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Yankton. Once the two said "I do," family and friends were invited to celebrate at Minerva's in Sioux Falls. "We picked the venue because of the space and food options," Karissa explains. "Many of the weddings there looked similar, but I wanted mine to be different. It's pretty hard to dress up a big room with four plain walls and no windows for natural light -- but we did it!" The bride incorporated shades of ivory and purple paired with green accents to create her dream wedding reception. "I wanted an elegant wedding and reception and everything came together just so," she says. At the end of the night, the newlyweds made their exit through a tunnel that guests formed with sparklers in hand. "Getting married with the most wonderful family and friends around to share in our special day was more special than either of us had ever dreamed!," Karissa says. "We were so truly blessed to have such an amazing day."
