A Classic Wedding at 3109 Piedmont Estate and Gardens in Atlanta, Georgia
Jessica Byrd (30 and in corporate insurance) and Kyle Palmer (30 and in commercial real estate) both attended the University of Georgia, shared a similar circle of friends, worked across the street from each other for two years and both followed their careers to Atlanta, but their paths never crossed. “Kyle and I were eventually set up by a mutual friend from UGA after I asked if she knew the ‘mystery guy’ I continued to see at the gym in the mornings,” says Jessica. Kyle took her to Cirque du Soleil for their first date, and Jessica says she knew within five minutes that this person was going to be different. “Since that first date, not a moment has passed that we weren’t positive our love story had finally begun,” she says. Jessica and Kyle went on a couple’s trip to Florida over 4th of July weekend, but little did she know, they would be celebrating more than Independence Day. Kyle had slipped away and had two airbrushed shirts made for the occasion. One read, “Jess, will you…” and the other, “marry me?” The couple’s wedding was held at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, adorned with breathtaking stained glass windows from floor to ceiling and a wide center aisle that extends the length of the large open sanctuary. “This church is a dream come true for a bride,” says Jessica. “The church was perfect for my vision; a perfect representation of beautiful elegance.” To keep the timeless theme, the couple kept the color palette neutral and decorated with all-white flowers. Jessica wore a custom designed trumpet style dress with a striking tulle cathedral veil and the gentlemen wore black tuxedos. The reception took place in a renovated antebellum mansion called 3109 Piedmont Estate and Gardens, which sits on a 3-acre property hidden from the road for an intimate experience in Buckhead. Everyone danced to a live band, City Heat, until Kyle whisked Jessica away in a vintage Rolls-Royce Phantom.
