Modern elegance ruled supreme with cool shades of silver and purple and cascading arrangements of orchids that seemed to take over Lauren Hooley (28 an accountant) and John Coppo’s (28 and works in sponsorship sales) opulent venue. “We wanted a classic design that felt warm and inviting,” Lauren says of incorporating white orchids and sleek silver details throughout their day. Lauren tried on dozens of wedding dresses before falling head over heels for a timeless mermaid-style design. Her bridesmaids donned black chiffon gowns, while John and his groomsmen opted for classic black tuxes and bow ties. Lauren and her bridesmaids carried neatly arranged bouquets of calla lilies down the aisle. “We have large families and needed a venue that would accommodate over 300 guests. Plus, we were looking for something unconventional,” Lauren says. “We stumbled across Boston Symphony Hall and fell in love.” Layers of white fondant and clusters of white roses lent a sophisticated look to the couple’s cake.
