A Classic, Vintage Wedding With a Modern Twist at James F. Dicke Family Transportation Center in Dayton, Ohio
The combination of vintage and modern accents at James F. Dicke Family Transportation Center in Dayton, Ohio, won over Alex Jackson (28 and a sales and operations assistant manager) and Mike Duncan (29 and a physical therapist) for their indoor-outdoor nuptials. While the wedding party dressed in neutral colors—from the bridesmaid dresses in various styles and hues to the navy and charcoal gray suits wore by the men—the flower decorations added pops of color through bright pink, yellow and peach blooms. On the old iron bridge, Alex and Mike stood at the wedding arch made of branches, with overflowing flower arrangements accenting the corners. Guests sat at round dining tables covered with white lace overlays at the reception, marked with metallic numbers and decorated in a variety of peonies, ranunculus, Queen Anne's lace and other vibrant blooms. Our favorite detail had to be the adorable white wedding cake covered in beaded patterns, with a cute antique-looking cat topper that read "I do" and "Me too." Check out more of the vintage-meets-modern details that we loved, below.
