A Classic, Vintage-Inspired Wedding at Hoover Park in North Canton, Ohio

This couple wanted an outdoor feel for their vintage-inspired wedding without the risk of bad weather. “I loved the idea of an outdoor wedding, but didn’t love the possibility of bad weather, and I wanted something rustic that was big enough to hold all our guests,” Jessica Storch (26 and a billing specialist) says of her marriage to Ryan Storch (32 and an operations manager). “The banquet hall at Hoover Park in North Canton, Ohio, is basically like a huge pavilion with screens going almost all the way around the building," Jessica says. "It was as close to being outside without actually being outside that you could get.” Jessica wore a strapless white Mikaella Bridal dress entirely accented in lace to follow the vintage theme, captured on camera by Brittany Graham Photography. The couple had their traditional ceremony at Christ the Servant Catholic Church in Canton, Ohio, where Jessica’s parents were married. Then the couple and their 180 guests were off to the reception at Hoover Park, where guests were seated at long dining tables draped in alternating runners (made of burlap and book pages). Centerpieces included glass bottles filled with paper pinwheels, wooden boxes filled with lush rose and peony arrangements and stacks of books topped with mason jars that were filled with baby's breath, all arranged by Nikki's Perfect Petal Designs. Not only did we love that the couple took a nontraditional route with serving homemade pies instead of wedding cake, but also the heart-shape wooden chalkboard sign that thanked those who helped to bake them all. "To go along with the pies we served our guests for dessert, we also had prepackaged Fry Pies made by the Amish Pie Company for people to take home for a midnight snack," Jessica says. "I actually found an antique pie cabinet at a garage sale that I used to display all the pies."
