A Classic Vineyard Wedding Wedding at Truro Vineyards in Truro, Massachusetts

Lindsey King (31, an events professional) and Brandon Wasmer (32, a wine sales professional) met in middle school and were immediately drawn to one another. “We were fast friends and my mom still reminds us that he'd always make sure to get me home by curfew,” Lindsey says.“It wasn't until I moved away to college in Florida and returned back to Boston over a summer break that we both recognized that there was something more than just being friends. We fell in love and he moved to Florida with me while I finished school. The rest is history.”Their venue selection was everything to them, since Brandon works in the wine industry. “With Brandon being a sommelier and in wine sales, we knew that we wanted to have our celebration at a vineyard,” Lindsey says. “We fell in love with Truro because it was so quaint and charming and you can feel the ocean air there. Our inspiration for the style of our wedding came from the natural beauty of the vineyard itself, and my intense passion for all things vintage. I wanted a soft romantic vibe with vintage and modern elements mixed in. A farm-style vineyard filled with charcuterie and wine barrels with large arrangements on top brought in texture of a wooden element. My grandmother’s blue willow china plates for our strawberry butter cream cake with was a nod to her and my grandfather’s 60+ years of marriage and the bond I have with them. We wanted the design to look eclectic yet cohesive. We spent the weekend with our, danced the night away and ended our wedding day with pizza, french fries and a bonfire at the Harbor Hotel in Provincetown.
