A Classic, Vineyard Wedding at Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley, California

Allison Ember (29 and a Googler) and Kevin Sheehan (30 and a Googler) met while in business school at Northwestern University on a night out at the popular college bar, The Keg. They instantly connected and dated throughout grad school. After graduation, the couple moved to San Francisco but visited their meeting place where Kevin proposed under the Chicago skyline. Kevin and Allison both love wine and weekends in the sun and couldn't think of anything better than being married in a California vineyard. The Bernardus Lodge hosts a beautiful, scenic vineyard and a luxurious indoor reception area. The bride chose a soft color palette that would blend in with the natural beauty of the venue. Lilac purple that represented the bride and grooms meeting place of Northwestern Kellogg was paired with a soft white for a light, classic feel. Wine corks holding place cards led guests to their fun, themed tables for a traditional sit down dinner. As the reception moved on to the dance portion of the evening, the DJ played a hand chosen playlist, every song having been carefully selected by Kevin. The lights went down and the guests were given glow sticks for a fun, final twist on the classic, traditional theme.
