A Classic Urban Wedding at Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah, Georgia
Tufted lounge furniture, gold mirrors and magnolia-filled arrangements lent a decidedly formal feel to Chelsey Green (26 and a registered nurse) and Christopher (Chris) LeBlanc’s (27 and a sales manager) classic Savannah nuptials. “We loved the feeling of old Savannah and wanted to honor the city’s charm,” Chelsey says of their chic hotel celebration. Shortly after becoming Mr. and Mrs. in a traditional Catholic ceremony, the newlyweds boarded a trolley car for a celebratory ride through Forsyth Park. “It was nice to have some time to relax with champagne after the big moment,” the bride says. Chris donned dapper velvet shoes and a navy blue tuxedo, while Chelsey wore a demure lace dress with sleeves. “We wanted to spend time with our guests and join the party as soon as possible,” Chelsey says of taking the time to attend their poolside cocktail hour, which took place under a pristine white tent. At the start of the ballroom reception, family and friends looked on as the couple swayed to “Carolina” by Eric Church. Layers of classic vanilla cake were filled with coconut cream cheese frosting.
