A Classic Summer Wedding at Oswego Lake Country House in Lake Oswego, Oregon
Katie Schoen (28, in public relations) and Bryan Schoen (28, a product manager) went to the same junior high school, but didn’t get to know each other until they were reconnected through their mutual friends who were dating. The couple set Katie and Bryan up, and the rest was history. The couple chose booked their wedding at the Oswego Lake Country House. The ceremony took place on the 14th hole of the golf course, with a breathtaking view both Mt. Hood and Mt. Saint Helens, giving guests a beautiful backdrop to admire while enjoying the occasion. The cocktail hour was held on the clubhouse patio on the property, where guests were able to enjoy a plentiful amount of beer, wine and cocktails. Afterwards, the party was taken inside the clubhouse to have a night of steak and halibut dinner, endless dancing with a talented DJ and even a slideshow put together by the groom himself. “While you can plan the most perfect of perfect days, what makes a wedding special are the guests,” says Katie. “We were surrounded by people we love, as expressed by the wonderful speeches given by the father of the groom, the best men and matron of honor. Additionally, the slideshow prepared by the groom represented a good majority of the guests, and really showcased our relationship.”
