A Classic, Spring Wedding at Battleground Country Club in Manalapan Township, New Jersey
Kristin (28 and in marketing) and Jesse (30 and in medicine) both attended the College of New Jersey but never really knew each other until after they graduated. After talking back and forth on Facebook, they finally decided to go on a date and have been together ever since. Over three years later, Kristin and Jesse were on walk along the Hoboken waterfront when Jesse handed Kristin a bandaid saying, "you'll need it in a minute." He then proposed and admitted the bandaid might be needed to help keep the ring from slipping off of her finger. At a nearby restaurant, Jesse had arranged for their families to be waiting for them to celebrate their new engagement. They had their wedding at the Battleground Country Club where their large guest list could be easily accommodated. "Once we decided we were going to be married at the end of April," Kristin says, "I definitely wanted to draw inspiration from nature and springtime's buds and blossoms." Their color palette was blush pinks and aqua blues. The reception space looked glamorous with white drapery and pink accent lighting. Tables were decorated with baby's breath centerpieces. Some had tall bouquets while others had wreaths with a lantern and surrounding candles. Even with the beautiful decor, Kristin and Jesse valued their families' involvements in the wedding the most. "Everyone in our immediate families were involved in our ceremony, whether part of the bridal party, walking down the aisle or doing a reading in the ceremony," Kristin says.
