A Classic Southern Wedding at The Bedford Columns in Bedford, Virginia

What’s not to love about a timeless, simply elegant wedding with Southern charm? Jen Tenney (22 and in advertising) and Michael Saccocio (22 and a social media marketer) had a classic wedding infused with Southern charm at The Bedford Columns in Bedford, Virginia. “We’re both New Yorkers, but we met and fell in love in the South, and this venue really highlights the beauty of the South,” says the bride. The classic color palette of black and white with hints of plum purple added an air of formality to the wedding day. The couple’s florist, Annette’s Floral Creations, blended rich purple calla lilies and white roses in Jen’s bouquet and substituted Picasso calla lilies for the bridesmaids for simple, sophisticated style. Even though their wedding was formal, the couple and their guests cut loose for a conga line and dancing at the reception. “We are both the kind of people who are the life of the party,” says Jen. “We made an effort to make sure all of our guests felt included and they had as much fun as we were having.” See the pretty details captured by April B Photography below.
