A black-and-white color scheme could be seen throughout the celebration decor, including the fun striped table linens.
he long reception tables were topped with varying arrangements of high and low vases filled with green and white hydrangeas, Juliet and Sahara roses, spray roses, lisianthus, peach stock and green amaranthus.
Britton's eight bridesmaids chose their own styles of silk chiffon dresses by Bari Jay. My ultimate goal in choosing bridesmaid dresses was to ensure that all of my maids felt comfortable and pretty, she says.
The gorgeous cathedral needed little decoration save for two floral arrangements at the altar and and matching wreaths for the door.
White monogrammed napkins were accented by striped ones that matched the tablecloths on the high cocktail tables.
The couple’s four-tier buttercream cake was finished with a delicate Swiss dot pattern and fresh blooms. “We wanted the overall look of the cake to be simple, so it could be easily accented with the fresh flowers,” Britton says.
Flower swags and the couple's new monogram dressed up the back of their reception chairs.
Britton held a dreamy bunch of roses, peonies, astilbe, ranunculus and freesia.
A combination of white roses, anemones, hydrangeas and peach garden roses was tied with black-and-white striped ribbon that tied in with the reception decor.
A sign on the bar encouraged guests to add Britton and Steve’s wedding hashtag to their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts. “It was so much fun for us and our families to look at all of the pictures and posts the next day!” Britton says
In college I worked at a stationery store, so I had been planning my wedding invitation suite ever since then, says Britton. She chose custom engraved invitations and a friend provided her calligraphy talents for a one-of-a-kind collection.
At the end of the night, they hopped in the original Ramblin’ Wreck—a beloved Georgia Tech mascot for a tour of campus. “We reminisced about the place where we met, started dating and made so many memories,” Britton recalls.
Guests held sparklers aloft as the newlyweds made their getaway at the end of the evening.
