A Classic, Rustic Wedding at Teton Pines Country Club in Wilson, Wyoming
Lauren Healy (32 and a personal assistant) and John Healy (37 and works in commercial real estate) met through mutual friends. Four years later, John proposed at sunset on a sail boat on the Hudson River in New York City. The couple chose to have a traditional religious ceremony at St. John's Episcopal in Jackson, Wyoming, right off the town square. “I have always loved that chapel—its charm and intimacy,” Lauren says. Afterwards, they went to Teton Pines Country Club for a simple, rustic reception. Wanting to keep their wedding classic, but not wanting to compete with the rustic venue, they used an all white color palette and added burlap and wood details. One of Lauren’s favorite parts of the wedding was her custom designed all-lace wedding dress from Modern Trousseau in Nashville. She loved the V-shaped neckline, deep-V back, elbow-length sleeve and latte-colored underlay, which added a vintage feel. Very few things could compete with three caramel cakes made by Leland Riggins of Dessert Designs, though, which were flown in from Nashville. “She is known in the South for her caramel cakes,” Lauren says. “They were all caramel, one with cream cheese filling, one with apple filling and one with chocolate truffle.” At the end of the night, the couple danced to the Miller Sisters. "We had the best band in town," Lauren says. "They were a hit!"
