A Classic, Rustic Wedding at Peeper Ranch in Lenexa, Kansas

Allison Biehl (23 and an auditor) and Nathan Flurer (24 and a procurement specialist) had their wedding at Peeper Ranch in Lenexa, Kansas. “Our wedding ceremony took place at the outdoor gazebo that overlooks the horse pastures and a pond,” Allison says. “We knew from the moment we started planning our wedding that we wanted to be married outside. We were incredibly lucky to find such an amazing location.” Although most of the wedding party attire was pretty classic, the groom and groomsmen completed their look with colorful, funky socks. “We wanted our wedding to have the traditional, formal wedding attire feel, with fun and relaxed accents,” Allison says. The couple used a red, coral, blush, green and ivory color palette with rustic accents such as chalkboard signs, driftwood centerpieces and burlap table runners. For dessert, Allison and Nathan enjoyed a three-tier almond flavored, vanilla buttercream-decorated cake from Cannings Cakes. It was decorated with succulents and peonies, which made it as gorgeous as it was delicious. Though, they kept their cake small so they could have an assortment of vanilla, chocolate and lemon cupcakes as well. At the end of the night, guests went home with personalized stemmed mason jars (that doubled as escort cards!) decorated with red bicycles.
