A Classic, Romantic Wedding at the Woman's Club of Evanston in Evanston, Illinois

Kate Johnson (31 and a project manager) and Andrew Woodman (33 and an accountant) planned an ultra-personalized September event using a warm, autumn-inspired palette of cream, gold, burgundy and peach.

Kate and Andrew immediately fell for their venue’s inviting yet stately feel, thanks to its hardwood floors, powder blue walls, arched ceiling and glass-enclosed sun porch. “The historic details added so much charm,” Kate says. She carried a bouquet accented with eucalyptus, as a nod to Andrew’s Australian upbringing, and wrapped it in her great-grandmother’s linen handkerchief.

“We cut to Miley Cyrus’s ‘Party in the USA’ since we sang it together at a karaoke bar on the night we first met,” Kate says of their memorable first dance. The couple then closed out their routine with Taylor Swift’s “Love Story,” the same song that was playing when Andrew popped the question in Kate’s living room.
