A Classic, Romantic Wedding at The Governor Hill Mansion in Augusta, Maine

Seth Knowles (33, a Teacher) met Josh Herman (28, Staffing Management) on a blind date at the cafe at Barnes and Noble. After three years living together, Seth proposed to Josh in a unique memorable way. "I wrote Josh a poem, and the first letter of each line of the poem spelled out "Will You Marry Me?" I rolled it up like a scroll and placed in front of a vase of roses on his piano. When I got home from work that day, he unrolled the poem and read it, and after realizing what I was asking, said "Yes!," Seth says. The couple wanted their wedding to be romantic and classic, but not too formal. A color palette of plum and orange, with hot pink and bright green as accent colors added the colorful touch that the couple wanted while also still being very classic and elegant.
