A Classic, Romantic Wedding at Landmark Center in St. Paul, Minnesota
Jennifer Matecki (25 and a merchandise planning manager) and Todd Morton (25 and a supply-chain manager) met at their first jobs after college. “We instantly had a connection,” Jen says. “Todd won me over after I met his new yellow lab puppy the first night we hung out. We were inseparable from that point on.” Jen had wanted to get married in St. Paul, Minnesota, since she was a little girl, so the couple chose Landmark Center downtown. “I wanted our wedding to be classic and elegant,” Jen says. “I wanted to make sure that when I look back, I won't feel dated by my choices.” Jen and Todd were married at the Chapel of St. Thomas the Aquinas, then celebrated at the nearby Landmark Center, a strikingly beautiful building featuring a five-story courtyard, 20-foot ceilings, marble and carved mahogany finishes. The couple decorated the space with draping and lights, a classic color scheme of plum and gold, white linens, gold chiavari chairs and elaborate floral centerpieces. After a cocktail hour and a delicious meal, a live band got the crowd energized. Says Jen: “We wanted everyone to dance all night and have fun, and that’s exactly what happened.” —Chrissy Sorenson
