A Classic Purple Wedding at the Vermont National Country Club in South Burlington, Vermont

Kelly Collins (31 and a price analysis manger) and Tom Hergenrother (36 and a business owner) met at a bagel shop owned by their mutual friend. After being introduced, the two quickly became friends and started dating not long after. A year later, Tom proposed, bringing Kelly back to the very same spot they met. The couple hosted their wedding at the Vermont National Country Club in South Burlington, VT. The venue offered multiple locations for the ceremony and reception, both indoor and outdoor. "It was really important to me that we had a backup indoor ceremony space," says Kelly. "As it so happened, it did rain on our wedding day so I was very glad we had the porch to hold our ceremony." Despite the rain, the day went off without a hitch. The couple brightened up the open air porch with a birch wedding arch decked out in bright ivory and purple blossoms and small arrangements of colorful blooms along the aisles. For the reception, which took place in the traditional ball room, they went for a simple, modern aesthetic, dressing the tables with silvery purple linens and arrangements of white and purple hydrangeas, dahlias, stock and roses.
