A Classic Purple Wedding at Alvamar Country Club in Lawrence, Kansas
Lacey Kiran (25 and a escrow agent) and Jeff Kirwan (24 and a business manager) met on a blind date set up by Lacey’s mom. One night, the couple went to Kansas City for dinner and ice skating. After skating, they walked down by the fountains. “He turned to me and said, ‘Three years ago I stood alone in this spot and said that this would be the place I would propose to the love of my life. You are the love of my life, will you marry me?’ It was unforgettable,” Lacey says. Lacey and Jeff used purple and gray to decorate their beautiful country club wedding in Lawrence, Kansas. They wanted all the details to be simple, but elegant. Inspired by Pinterest, the bride and her mother did a lot of the details themselves. Lacey and Jeff wanted everyone to be comfortable and to have as little stress as possible. The bride even wore flip flops down the aisle! They had a buffet-style dinner without a seating chart so guests could choose how much they ate, where they sat, what they drank and how long they stayed. At the end of the night, they had a candy popcorn bar for a little something sweet.
