A Classic Purple and Orange Wedding at Sanctuary Golf Course in Sedalia, Colorado
Megan Bertsch and Cal Houston were high school sweethearts. Cal proposed right before dinner at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Although the couple now lives in Nebraska, the Colorado natives knew they wanted to exchange vows in their home state. They chose Sanctuary Golf Course in Sedalia, Colorado, for its swoon-worthy views of the mountains, lush green grass and waterfalls. Resa, from Sanctuary Golf Course, helped perfect the day’s details and allowed the couple to get hitched without a hitch. Megan and Cal used a purple, orange and ivory color palette for their classic soiree. Megan carried a white gardenia, stephanotis and purple calla lily bouquet, while the bridesmaids added pops of orange to their similar arrangements. After their intimate ceremony in the pavilion, with its rustic wooden ceiling and rock floor, the couple moved to a more classic ballroom decorated with white and purple linens and low centerpieces. At the end of the night, the couple enjoyed a square cake decorated with white buttercream and purple and orange flowers to match the wedding colors. Megan and Cal made their grand exit as guests filled the air around them with bubbles.
