A Classic Navy Wedding at Grant-Humphreys Mansion in Denver, Colorado

Ornate detailing, towering columns and romantic balconies make the Grant-Humphreys Mansion a beautiful place to exchange vows, so it’s no wonder Bethany Levin (25 and a speech-language pathologist) and Brandon Tileston (25 and a department supervisor) fell in love with it from the moment they saw it. “In fact, we actually booked our wedding date right after our tour ended,” Bethany says. “It was special because we chose it together, we didn't know anyone else who had been married there, and it's just a really beautiful, historic place.” Space was not an issue for the landmark location in Denver, Colorado, and Bethany and Brandon had their ceremony on the front lawn, dinner on the main floor and dancing downstairs in the ballroom, plus everyone got ready upstairs. Wanting to match the elegant space, the couple chose a navy, ivory and gold palette for all the details. One of our favorite parts was the delicious menu, which included a macaroni and cheese bar. As if that weren't yummy enough, the wedding favors were giant fortune cookies from Fortune-It Cookies in Denver, Colorado. The baker let Bethany and Brandon choose the icing and sprinkle colors, and they even got to personalize the fortunes. “We used lyrics from our favorite love songs,” Bethany says. “I think our guests had fun trying to figure out which song their fortune came from.” There are so many details we love—see them all, beautifully captured by Kate Marie Photography, below.
