A Classic Museum Wedding at the Missouri History Museum in St. Louis, Missouri
Lauren Verhoff (29 and a marketing director) and Kyle Veroff (32 and an engineer) met at a comedy club in St. Louis where they were seeing a mutual friend perform. Kyle proposed on Main Street in Breckenridge, Colorado, during a walk after dinner. “He popped the question surrounded by string-lit pine trees and snowy mountains,” Lauren says. “It was perfect.” The couple exchanged vows in Lauren’s hometown church, St. Paul, which is an old German-Catholic church with beautiful stained glass windows and a domed ceiling. Loving the natural beauty of the venue, they kept the decorations to a minimum with Petals & Bells lining the aisle with baby’s breath framing the alter with hydrangeas. Afterwards, they headed to the Missouri History Museum for a unique ceremony under a giant model airplane. They used pewter gray, black and white for their neutral color palette and added pops of gray for a little glamour. They enjoyed apple, strawberry rhubarb and chocolate fudge pies from Sugaree Baking Co, and had late night grilled cheese from Butler's Pantry before the end of the reception. The next morning, each guest received a goodie bag with hangover remedies as a thank you for a great time.
